Angela

Dance Instructor

In 1961 Angela began her dance training under Jane Benson, Webb City. She has also trained under Fernando Schaffenberg, Pau Draper, and Gus Giordano. Angela was Miss Dance in 1972, representing Dance Masters of America.

In 1973 she and her husband, Jon, took over operating the Village Dance Studio, Joplin. For the next 10 years they also opened A.L. Dance Center in downtown Joplin, became active in Joplin Little Theatre, and were raising 5 children. In 1983 she began teaching at Pinocchio School of Dance in Webb City and continued there until the present. A former president of Joplin Little Theatre, she has choreographed over 25 shows and was active for 10 years with the Children’s Workshop. Angela’s maturity and experience brings a lifetime of devotion to the education of dance to all ages with fun and grace.
